Val Bott has carried out a number of research studies. These have included surveys which form part of other projects, for example, obtaining the views of stakeholders and members of the public about museum proposals. Val also assembled the London museum information for the MLA’s Cornucopia collections database. For the new Havering Museum Val was responsible for the historical, collections and picture research and wrote the exhibition script.
Other research projects since 2000 (listed below) have examined professional practice in relation to collections of various kinds. The project reports are available elsewhere on this web-site, either through links to the commissioning body’s website or as pdfs to download.
