The World in One City: London’s Archives and Cultural Diversity was completed in March 2004. A survey of 350 archives in Greater London for the London Archives Regional Council was carried out in partnership with Nicola Williams.
This was a complex project, dealing with many archives whose managers saw no specific responsibility for wide access or for assembling holdings which reflect the capital’s diverse population. Nevertheless, a response rate of over 50% was achieved.
